Now that ive finished fitting my winch to the front of the truck, I set about fitting the pump etc, or at least I poked around at stuff thinking about it.
I opened the top cover on the transfer box to look at how it was all going to fit together. While playing around I noticed that there was definite longitudinal play on the mainshaft. what is this likely to be and is it a difficult fix? It didnt look like the tab washer was peened over but I didnt check as I was tight for time.
