Main wiring loom

I have been having a good look at the main wiring loom on my 1992 defender and it looks ok but I think there is a fair bit missing

For starters the interior light and dooor contacts are missing,
Looks like the previous owner has used some of the wires for the stereo
and just snipped off the rest

That one part, the side fuel tank wires has been cut and bodged

so i was thinking would i be able to use a later wiring loom
say td5?
as i want to add heated front and rear screen and a interior light would be good
oh and a working fuel gauge would be handy

Just a though while its stripped awaiting the body to be rebuilt/ repaired
and refitted

You could probably use a td5 loom although there will be loads more wires there than you'll need for your own and a lot of the connectors will need replacing, I do keep meaning to get mine done but other things need doing first.
