Im always disappointed in the amount of freelanders in LRO and LRM I haven't had every issue but the only freelander I've seen is the white and orange one from years ago the "freeranger" freelander shell on a rangerover chassis.

Any body seen any others?

Anyway I haven't got a clue how to go about it but it would be amazing to get in touch with the mags and have a big get together and have an off road photoshoot to show the so called proper landrover owners that we can do it to!

And that freelanders are just as popular as discos defenders and rangerovers!

It would have to be well organised tho because we all live miles and miles and miles away from each other!

I think it's a good idea anyway :)

Sound idea mate, I've been thinking of writing an article about the EWP and seeing if LRO will take it.

I don't know though, why should Freelanders have to "prove themselves" - let's face it the community needs an underdog to draw attention away from their rusty old mine carts.

I thnk the best thing we can do is bugger LRO unless they're really interested and all get together for some proper Freelander events. I was talking to DD about it the other day and it's feasible. Sure the first year might be small but who knows it might take off. But the main goal should just be to get together and have a laugh getting mud on our Hippos.

Will.

LRO are interested in doing an article on mine:D I've spoken to em about it, just got to finish the bloody thing!

A recent one?

what issue/page number i'll look for it :)
It was many years ago. Just a pic. I did offer to give them my cam belt write up but never got an answer. They've also included some of my photo's taken of others (they handed them in with my permission) when I went oft road with the lro forum.

Every so often they ask on the forum for peeps to send in a pic. you can put "about me" or "about car" details if you want. Those which get a propper feature are usually the ones which have been modded, or there's something special. They did pic's for a buying guide earlier this month but I missed it and would have had to change my engine to diesel.

I've picked up another lump of metal today.
