I have noticed if i pull the blue stripe pipe off boost solenoid the noise stops on test run
well .. changing the vacuum hoses wouldn't do any harm .. fairly easy job ..
use the 4mm inside diameter silicone ones .. available from a few places on the internet ..
i think i got the 3 metre length one when i did mine
just be careful getting them off that turbo vacuum reservoir
( i managed to break the plastic spigot on mine )

Ok cheers for that. I put a egr bypass on before. So what i will do is try and follow your diagram see if i can see any problems. Where is the pump you mentioned i have seen the black reservoir at the back

Where is the pump you mentioned
what .. the vacuum pump itself ??
easy to spot .. be on the end of a camshaft ..
( same side of engine as the vacuum reservoir tank thing )
outlet ( or 'inlet' ? ) hose on mine has a short reinforced rubber sleeve on it .

btw: those diagrams have valve missing ..
be on the vacuum hose bit leading to the brake servo ..
easy to spot .. looks like a bulge on the vacuum hose

Ok cheers. I did have a synergy box given to me but it was a very old one so didn't bother to try it as i had mixed comments about using one so i was thinking remap at later date.

Hiya mate i have put some new vacuum pipes on today from what i can see there is 1 main one from turbo solenoid to vacuum tank then the ones to the egr solenoid is that correct? Also because i have a egr bypass can i remove the solenoid and blank off on survo junction as it has no purpose does it now.

yeah ..

i think .. but don't quote me .. that if the electrics are disconnected from the egr vac. solenoid
the dashboard warning light will illuminate
maybe leave it fitted ? .. 'n block the vac hoses as per images in :

Yes you can remove the EGR solenoid. I did it to stop the silly quacking noise after turning off the engine. If you run a diags it will show an error but you shouldn't have any warning lights.

My 05 SE shows a MIL with the EGR solenoid unplugged.
