Hi folks

We are the owners of a 2001 TD5 which we ve had for about 9 years now, this year has been 1 thing after another.

I did the sunroofs by removing headlining etc and they are great now touch wood.

Had to to have FPR done few months ago and the pump in the tank last week grr.

Anyway finally decided to have it remapped last week and wish id done it ages ago but whilst having this done discovered more probs :(

Oil in wiring loom to ECU, cleaned out for now and has cured misfire on a cold start so thats on the list.

Airflow meter only reading about 38 - 39 on tickover, im told it should be 50 - 60. Main dealer wants £114 plus vat but Ive been told VDO provide a decent MAF at £77 anybody experienced these.

Any advice welcome, hoping this is the last of the repairs for now, have always used genuine parts but tired of the high prices:mad:

That was my thoughts but when I rang an independant they reckon the VDO Maf is OEM spec so confused now
