Maf Query

Just wondered what are the symptoms of a failing or worn maf?

My car seems to run ok, seems a bit flat on acceleration but its not a sports car of course.

My maf maybe fine but I have never been in a Freelander with a new maf so it maybe knackered so was just wondering if there are any symptoms or signs to look for.

It's been discussed at length many times. The search function is your friend.

A quick recap.
A bad MAF can give slow starting and sluggish acceleration.

If unplugging it cures these issues, then the MAF is bad and needs a replacement. Only fit genuine Bosch MAFs, as cheap Ebay MAFs are often worse than an old Bosch one.

Yeah probably should have searched first.

Starts ok, not sure about acceleration, hard to guage as nothing to compare it too. Its not quick but it was never going to be I guess.

Will unplug it and see if it makes any difference, thank you.
