OK. I've never done this before and there are lots of you out there that do it all the time so...........

Where do I start?

The engine looks clean enough, no excessive gunk on plugs, oil present and a new battery fitted. However, most of the wiring has been stripped from the dash and no response to ignition turning. Some juice is getting through because hazards work when I turn central knob and press big red button.

Any suggestions?

Cheers
Dave

No I made a start on it this afternoon by labelling the obvious bulbs and stuff and then added more labels based on the plan you sent. Thanks.
Not quite sure about the central console, it includes a scary looking switch for infra red lights!

I find it alot easier if you remove the steering wheel :crazy_driver:
I have dash lights and head light switch above where your wiper switch is located. Do the military versions have these switches elsewhere?

Steering wheel coming off on Saturday and all consoles an dash coming off. Need to replace all the plastic dash and spongy stuff. Off to ebay!

Got a bargain on 5 wheels and 4 roadworthy tires; only £60. But because they are less chunky than the ones that are on they will only give me about 40 cm clearance. Is that normal?

One problem with taking dash out. Not sure what the central knob is, it has a thick cable from it which is quite short and very inflexible. Any ideas/advice?
