Hi Guys,

After suffering a turbo trauma last week, i managed to obtain a second hand turbo in good order and replaced it yesterday. After replacement i was a little dismayed to see serious smoke from the exhaust. I realise there may have been a good amount of oil dumped into the exhaust and intercooler when the turbo failed but i also noticed the engine does seem to be ghasping from the oil fill hole when running. Im replacing the crank case breather today when it arrives but fear damage may have been done to the engine by the turbos failure. Im just trying to get a feel for what comonly fails on these lumps, bores, mains ?? and what the cost of engine spares is like against the cost of another lump swap.
