just put my 200 tdi disco in for its mot...i was ****tin em coz i thought it would fail miserably but to my supprise it wernt to bad.

failed on 3 small bits of welding,one bulb out on rear number plate ,near side front lower axle swivel joint excessive play and power steering inop.

steering box has been fooked for a weeks now but ive been waiting to see if it was worth spending on me motor,re mot, before replacing...

anyone tell me the best place to get the two parts ..

You'll get a ****part one cheaper, but I wouldn't.

As regards the swivel - you need to investigate what's required. It could be as simple as removing a shim or two. Altenatively, it might need a complete rebuild with new balls, pins, bearings and seals.

try a recon unit from craddocks.. save you a fortune on that price...

thanks chaps for the info...could anyone point me in the direction of a dissasembly of the front lower axle swivel joint pls,think i might only need the pin so dont wanna strip out more then needed ..cheers

The lower pin has a bearing on the inside of the ball, if I remember correctly.
That means you have to strip the whole thing down.
