I'm having trouble finding out the bumper to bumper length of a Series 1 / 2 109 wheel base
Width I presume is the same as a SWB and I have measured that at about 66 inches
Any help appreciated
Thank you :)

That I dont know, but pretty sure it stayed the same through the series time.
Possibly even when it became the Ninety but then it was the One ten not the 109.

In a bit of a dilemma really, earlier ones had an easier to build truck cab roof but I don't want to upset people by having bits of a 55 and bits of a 75.
I would like headlamps in the wings as you don't get that in the ones other people build but then I can't have the easy to build roof. Back of cab will have to be open to house steering wheel and switches and give access to brake pedal etc.. I'd like to be sitting just forward of the rear axle, bumper to bumper length will be about seven foot six

Tyre side and suspension sag will impact this. Can't see how you could get an accurate or reliable figure.
It will be a real life measurement so the model Landy looks right
It can be accurate to a few mm but if it doesn't look right then it's not right :)

This will give chassis to top of axle number which you can then work out with wheel size (if you know axle size) as The drawings give chassis datum, you need to work from that.

Thanks I'll have a look but my wheels may be slightly the wrong size so the wheel arch gap might be wrong.
I have to go and measure the wheels and then measure the landy wheel to compare, hopefully my wheel is about half the height

There will be compromises, but as you say "if it looks right" It could be way out but looks right to the eye ;).

Length measures 433cm on my 1973 S3 109.

Bumper height is 46.5cm to the bottom or 59cm to the top.

However, I have got a custom front winch bumper fitted which isn't to exactly the same spec as standard.

7.50 x 16 tyres, parabolic springs but also a bit of extra weight on the front because of the winch and bumper. Also measured on gravel so like not an exact height.

Thank you, cutting chassis tomorrow if it's dry
I'll be on leaf springs and height will be adjustable as I build
