Hi all,
Happy new year to you all.
The clutch slave cylinder in my 90 has had a slow leak for about 6 months now. I really should have done this sooner but today I finally crawled onto the frosted floor to get it done. The old cylinder was completely knackered actually falling apart leaving bits of rubber behind. On pulling these out I managed to pull out the push rod with the plastic clip - no big deal I though. 5 hours later I've a broken clip and a red raw back from trying to get this clip back on the clutch fork... Has anyone got any suggestions? Im realtivly new to working on cars and DO NOT want to end up pulling the transmission. Do I even need the clip? It doesn't seem like it's going to do a fat lot once the slave has pressure on the push rod?
Many thanks
Ps im a but desperate as I was planning on using the car for towing next weekend
