time for a oil change on the 1993 gearbox and transfer box have been looking at the revolution stuff from difflock but seems a bit pricey any of you lads used it and is it worth the money and does it make gear changes more slicker etc. also is there is there anything cheaper out there that does the same thing. things progress so was wondering if fully synthetic is the way forward.
Cheers lads.

Things may progress, but I doubt your transfer box has progressed much since it was designed in the forties! ;) :D

I would use what was originally specced for your vehicle by the manufacturer. Think that would be ATF in the main box and 90 weight in the transfer in your case.

I use it. It's called Evolution. I remember noticing an immediate improvement when I started using it about 8-9 yrs ago. Still using it. I suppose it'll depend on how good your box is at the time. You can't expect oil alone to fix a knackered/tired box.
