I've fitted a second hand gear box after swapping the linkage clutch fork and slave over from my old box. Gear stick won't move forward or back but it will slide left and right and I can feel the notch for reverse. But again. Still won't go forward.
I'm away from the car now but could the linkage be to tight or fouling something? Is there internal linkage that could be broken? Can I get to it without taking the box back out?

I've not run it up yet and I'm away from the car but it's playing on my mind.

Unfortunately not. I wasn't in the best mood as the old box broke on the way home the day I bought it and just wanted the job done.
The transfer box came with it turned fine and I had to turn the that over to get the input shaft splines to line up with the clutch. So I'm assuming it rotates OK and was told it was running when it came out.

Oh,still will be well worth checking the selectors are free on top of the box,may have stuck if it sat for some time.Good luck.

Hi everyone
Sorry to butt in !
I was hoping somebody could help me
I was driving to work this morning and suddenly I loose my gears and the clutch,
So I pull over and check my gearstick etc and all I can see is a massive crack inbetween the gearstick and the diff lock.
It's some sort of plate that the actual gear stick and diff bolt on to but it's snapped clean in half
What's happend?
Is the whole gear box toast?
Thanks guys
