Guys,
Thinking about doing this at some point in the future (maybe)
Plan being to transplant the 3.5 V8 to the series as a weekend car, and fit a decent diesel engine (300tdi) to the RRC as an everyday car

It's currently got an LT77 with LT230 box, as I understand it I can't reuse this gearbox as it's for a V8 and has different bellhousing/input shaft.

How much effort is it to fit an R380 from say a Disco? Using either a disco transfer box or the Rangie one?

Not worried about the mounts issue with the 300tdi I can just weld new ones on.

Can't find much info on this, it seems most of the conversions are from a RRC with an auto box...

Cheers

all the transfer boxes fit either gearbox auto or manual ,mounts and chassis holes are there for any box ,r380 would be straight fit but best used with its cross member which again just bolts in, with v8 box you could just fit bell housing and make a spigot busy to take the 3mm less diameter of v8 shaft

the 300tdi is not a proper engine!!!though gearbos issues are covered by above..ie bugger all..

go fit a proper diesel engine!
