Rebuilding a disco LT230 transfer box and have some questions and likely many more to follow.
Thought I'd start a thread to mine the expertise on here.
Done the easy bits, removed intermediate and input gears.
First question, I've taken the bolts out of the front and rear output housing but they won't budge. The manual says to take out bolts and remove the front and rear output housing before taking off self locking nut off the flanges. Is this right? I don't see how either housing will come off until the flange nuts are off?
Second question, the Adjustable Flange Holding Tool Ref: LRT-51-003 is insanely expensive. Anyone got some tips to avoid having to buy one? Or anyone got one I can borrow?
