LT230 front output seal/bearing

Hi all, not posted for some years, can anyone tell me if it is possible to pull the front output shaft out of lt230 from underneath ? After first removing flange, seal and circlip ? Should it be left out of diff lock to keep the difflock dog pushed onto the diff carrier ? Many thanks in advance.

yes it will lever out if you refit flange and put nut on loosely, it is safer to leave out of difflock

Thanks james, I thought so looking at diagram in the manual but just needed confirmation. Done the rear seal and bearing as ****ed out all over handbrake, but front also has slight leak so do that too as its up on stands at the moment.

you may need a new front flange , i usually find them with grooves or pitting though you wont know till you look
