I've been having problems with overheating recently and smelling lpg on swap over from petrol. I had it converted 5 years ago and had 2 vaporisers either side of the engine bay. This involved about 6 foot of coolant hoses from one side to the other which i suspected were drawing air or lpg being leaked in.
Took the hose off the passenger side vaporiser and dry as a bone so plenty of air in the system. The water pipes were hard and brittle. This for only 5 years old isd a little low on the quality front.,
Both were leaking coolant so needed changing. New double vaporiser fitted from Bigas(£95 +vat at Tinley tech) which was a much neater instalation. Moral is to keep an eye on these vaporisers as they dont last that long and if they are starved of hot coolant freeze up causing damage to diaphrams and pipes/ injectors.
