Hello,

I'm dismantling my old v8 discovery. It has twin tanks on the sills. I need to remove the system before it goes to scrap.

Are there valves on the tanks? And are they electrically operated or manual? I can see no levers.

I'm hoping that if it does all end with a bang, i'll land in the next village so I can get some lunch.

Many thanks, Sam.

There should be electrically controlled valves on the tanks which default to being closed. But I'd be very careful as you don't know what sort of cowboy fitted the system.

There should also be manual control valves so's you can turn the supply of for servicing and such, which normally are wound all the way in to stop the flow of gas.
Can you not run it on gas till it stops?
