it will be less on gas!! those are what the car tells me, so it'll be the very stretched out truth!!

have a read on the net about lpg cos i'm not convinced your fully aware of what gas is and isnt!!!

Diesel, 23 to 25mpg around and about and 28 to 30 on the motorway here in France and thats with an auto box. Those are brim to brim figures, not from the hopelessly optimistic on board computer

i hope the computer isnt hopelessly optimistic coz my dse is showing 17 mpg around town
mine shows 25 round town and 37/38ish m'way its been remapped but i think them figures are hopefull but its cheaper to run than me 2.8 pajero that it replaced

I have to say i do this based on £££££.

With 25 litres petrol at £1/ltr i get about 95miles

With 50 litres og lpg at 50p/ltr i get about 130 miles.

Lpg benefit is all in the price not mpg. If you can find it cheap then great, but would need to do a lot of miles to get back the £2k average on a conversion!!

I do find that the car runs smoother on the gas!! I just bought one and the lpg system was shagged, but only £300 it is sorted. I think it may alos make insurance marginally cheaper???!!

I also forgot.

Apparently if you get the late 1998 on with the BMW engine, they got the fule injection better sorted and you get double the mpg............if i had known this i wouldnt have got the EARLY 1998 with the unsorted fuel injection!!!
