Help,
My P Discovery 1 V8i has failed the emissions test on the LPG. The limit is 1200ppm and mine was a whopping 4191ppm. Could this be that the LPG managemant system is dumping to much gas into the engine??

Any help would be gratefull and its all still under warranty....

Thanks

Thanks
I guess I will have to check the leads....but seems to run fine on petrol

One way to find out, is to get it MoT'd on petrol. I believe, they test it on whatever its running on when submitted. Of course, if it passes, it still doesn't solve the running issue on LPG. If you're friendly with the garage, they might be able to help out by sniffing it on petrol and LPG and comparing, etc.

Does the warranty cover problems that aren't to do with the LPG? Sounds like an ignition issue, not fuelling. I don't know if they'd look at it FOC (as part of the warranty) to diagnose it and rule out the LPG, or whether maybe the LPG part is interfereing with another part of the car, but its worth checking the small print, etc.

funny that, my mate took his vw to garage running fine , they said failed on emisions needs new carb.

He went to have a look, running like a bag o ****e, mixture screw richened up buy 14 turns.

he fixed it there and then and it passed, funny that
