Disco 2 Lower steering column question.

I've had to cut the lower steering column out of my project Disco 2 and I'm shopping on line for a replacement. Is there any difference between LHD and RHD items? They look the same to me in pictures but thought I'd check before buying one. I ask because for some reason LHD ones are a lot cheaper.

It appears not, if this is the bit you mean.

Ah, that helps. Didn't find that when I was searching. I did find one advertised as LHD for £75 on a different web site.

Well I bought the LHD one I linked to in post #3. As you can see from the picture it's a little bit different and slightly longer. It'll probably fit though.

Looks to me like it needs Hacksaw to correct the length problem better too long than too short, take your time only cut off as much as you need to fit it

That’s a great price for my LHD. I was thinking of rebuilding the UJs but for that price I should just replace the whole steering column unit.
