I've got a 300 TDI disco. I've had it for years, and it's stuffed now. Chasiss beyond sensible repair. Inner wings going etc.etc.

It's got loads of faults. I mean it still drives but synchro is going on 1st to second, the steering box requires a pre-mot wash etc etc.

I was intending to sell it whole, but I had to start it today for somthing... It's not been run in months. Started literally first pulse of the key. It reminded me how nice the engine in it was. Nicer than my 110.

So, for what I'd get for the whole vehical, it hardly seems worth it. I could pull the engine, and the steering shaft (which I want for somthing else) and halfheartedly try and break the rest and scrap whatever is left over.

The question is comming...

What I'm wondering is do 300disco bits actually sell? I mean say I want it all gone by next summer? Or will I just end up scrapping the lot?

I looked on eBay completed items and someone had managed to flog a sunroof for £50 (!) but I figure that one person who wanted a sunroof now has one, and I'll want shot of the lot of it before someone else wants one...

Or is it all a bit easier than that?

I reckon if I got £400 for everything but the engine and steering column I'd be pretty pleased, but it's all pretty ropey and I've no idea if that's realistic in my time frame (need the space clear for a defender chasiss swap next summer)

Thank you for reading my late night ranting!
