got a leak drivers side and now need to do a small weld on the floor, the leak is coming from what appears to just behind the lower part of the dashboard - my question is can you remove the lower half without having to remove all the dashboard (i did a search but couldn't find a specific answer to this)?

removed mine at the weekend - answer imo is no - its modular and you need to remove large chunks to get at screws to remove the lower bit. - most of the wiring from the dash need undoing also ....of course i had no manual and was just stripping it out logically !

i suspect - if your leaking youll find either your screen scuttle is fooked or the inner portion of your bilkhead is ****ed (mines is) good news is if its not tooooo far in(ie round the vent) its pretty much a flat sheet with a slight bend to weld in !

TopDrive do you happen to have any pics of the repair you did on the inside of the bulkhead? I'm doing mine on friday!

Just look at the bulkhead from under the bonnet and you will see the little rusty hole.
Its between the inner wing and the brake servo.
Also rusts in the same place on the passenger side but you have to take the heater box out to see/get to it.
