TD5 discovery,

when you start up and move off straight away, it is as thou it is only on half power, then within 20yrds it is as thou you have put throttle pedal to bottom, does this everytime you stop, leave it, then start up and go again,once it has done this all is ok, until you stop and start,

could it be the fuel pressure regulator?

no faults shown on hawkeye, but i know hawkeye does not do the fuel,
 
Got the same problem although initially the D2 would cut out at the most awkward places (toll booths !) - I think it is a failing diaphragm (spelling ?). Tried the flea bay O rings, no joy, tried a new diaphragm - fine for a while but now starting to exhibit similar behaviour. I'm going to live with it and just wait a few moments after starting before going
 
put new waste gate modulator on tonight, must admit runs better, more responsive, but has not cured the problem, going to try new fuel filter tomorrow see if it is that
 
IMO if it runs well after a while from start up it's not the pump at fault...
Ecu clean as a whistle, maf ok, map ok too,

how did you reach this conclusion? did you check theyr's outputs on live data? ..what are the live data readings for air and manifold pressure?

anyway you forgot the AAP sensor from the airbox... unplug it and try this way too

no not tried any live data, just cleaned all up, disconected and tried, all made no difference when unplugged,

will try live data, do you know what reading i should expect from each part?

if they made no difference when unplugged is not a good sign though ...especially with MAP unplugged it must have felt some difference

MAF reading must grow together with rpm from around 55 at idle to above 350 at 3000rpm

MAP reading must be the sum of ambient pressure and boost pressure... depends on the ambient pressure but it must grow as you push the throttle

AAP's ambient pressure and temp. reading must be the same with the real temperature and pressure

if no changes in the MAF and MAP readings as you push the throttle it means that the ECU works on default values from memory which means sensor signal failure


just read them at idle and under load... report back then we'll see

by the way do you still have the EGR on?

No EGR, removed that, will try sunday,
