Under my landy
It's been sat unloved for nearly a year with no back axle... but today that all changed :)

New rear axle and brakes and prop on and working

two new batteries and split charger system

put the Discoverer STT 265/75/16 wheels on from the Disco

Cleaned out all the crab which had been piling up in the back over the last year,

New GB Springs parabolic's - only done the back so far, but, wow, what an improvement!

Got it all ready for an MOT in a few days

Can't wait to go out laning in it again :)

ere bump i hope yer dunt mind me askin but what are yer doing with the old axle :behindsofa:

particularly im looking for a diff from an early disco for me series tratter as im only gerrin 35mph at 5000rpm in 4th from a diesel

I've got a front Disco axle spare but the rear has sold if you're after the Disco bits.

Series wise, i have a salisbury rear axle, but, it needs the bearings re-assembling on the n/s - no idea what diffs that has though...

hI p3CCA,

You should easily be able to fit 2 075 batteries under the passenger seat. These have easily enough power to ran a landy, but are quite small and compact.

Ill have to pop over when you are back in Alcester and say hi!

Tom where about are you?

My truck is currently up in Lincoln as Mr James Martin has pulled out all of the stops to get my truck ready for the weekend as I have a ferry booked to take it over to Germany.

I am hoping I can get the truck ready by no later than Saturday so I can come back to mom and dads as I have a heap of stuff I need to pick up before I go back to Germany.

If I am about on Saturday I will drop you a line as it would be nice to catch up.

Regards

I extended my box down by about 6" to accomodate the batteries.

Literally cut the bottom out and welded in some new stuff!

Works fine
