lost oil

Hi.
i have recently purchased a 2004 range rover td vogue.
the other day i was messing around with it on my dads drive. i checked the oil level and didnt push the dipstick back in correctly and suffered a 4 litre oil loss over a mile distance. now i have replaced the lost oil and the engine sounds fine but i am still concerned i have caused some damage. could anyone please let me know what they think.
all advice would be much appreciated.

if it 6 cylinder diesel there is a crank case breather filter in rocker box like td4s they get blocked and pressurise engine in fact the fliter is the same you only need fiolter not wholoe housing

Not a lot you can do really so best to stop worrying about it if you can; or you could strip the engine down for inspection and replace all bearings that show wear, yeah right...

Did the engine oil pressure light come on?
