loss of power

hello just seeing if anyone can help
i was out in the landy(disco 200tdi coversion) yesterday and i stopped for about 5mins and when i got back in to it i pulled of and as i put my foot down it complely lossed all power and nearly stalled it i put my foot on the clutch and reved it and it was fine so i and tryed pulling of again and it was fine from then on it hasent happened again.

Sounds to me like you where in third instead of first? Just a thought!!

as i tryed again i dident change gear as i pulled off first it pulled off like normal and the power just died until it nearely stooled sorry i explaned a bit crap thanks for the reply

Sorry could'nt resist that, youre problem seems a bit odd!

It was likely just a bit of fuel restriction. When did you last change the fuel filter? It will soon clog up with crap or disintegrate and try to filter it's own innards if it's a britpart filter. It'll be worth following the fuel lines to check for leaks. If it can draw air in you'll notice a loss of power and it will stall if there is any air in the fuel system. Also inspect your air filter.

thanks for the replys i changed the fuel filter not so long ago but will put a new one on anyway.
