Loss of power

Can anyone help with an issue I have with my freelander 1? Its started to lose power, this happens when I pull away in 1st gear and when I’m driving up hill. I have to rev the car very high then all of a sudden it picks up speed. Thanks in advance
 
When was it last serviced? Have you had any diagnostics done on it? The discrimination of the issue is rather vague, so it's difficult to diagnose.

Thanks. The car had a leak on the front brake pipe which I repaired and then I bled the brakes. When I took it for a spin I noticed the loss of power up the hills then after a couple of days pulling off in first is extremely slow. Unfortunately living on the isle of scilly there’s no way of taking it to a garage for a check so a lot of guess work. I changed the clutch master cylinder last year. Last service was around 14 months ago.

You really need to get the island mechanic to check for dragging front brakes. Also make sure it has matching tyres all round, with least worn on the rear. Both of these things will affect the way it accelerates.
You also need to make sure the engine is performing as it should, so get the island mechanic to check that too.
