So yet another lovely issue with my 02 D2. It decided to cut out on me whilst driving up a hill the other morning. It started to gradually lose power till it cut out. I decided to prime the fuel in case there was an issue with air or the pump possibly.

once the prime finished it laboured a bit but finally started. Got it to work and then it sat there till I drove home. Again just as I got to the end of my street it lost power and cut out and luckily I was able to steer it to my house and get it to my parking space.

Have changed the fuel pump a day later and it seemed really punchy and had a new lease of life till it got to a similar distance to when it broke down and did it again lost power and came to a stop. I have plugged it into a diagnostic machine and below is the listed faults. I have changed my crank sensor now as well as the ignition loom.
It started first time with no need to labour itself to start. Drove it about and again it started lose power after about a mile and a half to 2 miles.

Did you clear those codes and they came all back again? if not do that t see the current code also check the ECU red plug for oil

So having changed the seals and washer on the pistons there were two types of o rings on the injectors. 3 black ones which were very worn and just crumbled so they were the issue. Now I have a new fuel pump, new crank sensor, new injector loom and seals and washers and she turns over like a dream and is back driving without shutting down.
