Hey guys. So after dropping my engine back on the 2a iv started putting it all back together. Noticed that my throttle cable is very loose now and the outer cable doesn't stay in place. I have to move the hand throttle well over half way just to take up the slack. Any ideas?

Only I would normally adjust the cable if this was my old mini but this throttle cable has a proper end fitted to it for a pin and split pin so I don't know where iv gone wrong

Try taking this to the series forum.you'll get some response. The workshop manual has detailed structions on this. I'll see what it says. Do you have one? Is it petrol or diesel?

Diesel or petrol would help a bit. But assuming it's diesel, there's a plastic adjuster where the outer terminates above the pump. However, it seems unlikely that it would take up half the travel, so maybe the outer is unseated where it enters the pedal box.
