loose seat backs

Hi, just re joined the disco owners club

. I have noticed that the rear seat (not the 6th&7th seats) back rests seem to move back and forth about an inch even though they are locked in. Is this how they are? or should they lock in firm like any other seat.

My TD5 is just the same took the all to bits cleaned adjusted them still moves :frusty:

mine has got two pieces of the black foam pipe laging on arches.Looks like previous owner done it to stop the movement

My td5 rear seat back moves that much .and always has ,

thanks for the replies. A bloke at work has a y reg and his seats lock in solid. I have had a good look at them and can't see a reason why they move. The mechanism all looks fine. Something has started to rattle behing the clove box one its warmed up so thats my next job. Its dam anoying!!!
