Hi guys, must say I have had a couple of months trouble free RangeRoverness. Bar a seized rear caliper slider and loved every minute of it. But this morning its developed a problem.
It wont idle when in drive waiting in traffic etc. It drives as it should and will idle in neutral, but if you come up to a set of traffic lights etc and leave it in drive in anticipation it cuts out. Anyone any ideas?? Had the idle control valve off it and that was coked up a little bit, so give it a quick clean, removed some of the **** but didnt want to disturb too much in case it developed a bigger issue. Am I barking up the right tree and need to clean it thoroughly?? PS its a p38 4.0 1995 n reg.
Thanks in advance

No your barking up exactly the right tree, clean it out properly if it's gummed up it can't move fast enough to catch the drop in revs.
