Dropping the rear tyre pressures to the same as the fronts when running unloaded improved mine no end. Anything bigger than 18" wheels is also problematic:eek:

What's the recommended pressure for these things. She will pretty much always be unloaded.

Front 28 psi, rear 38 psi.
For info like this, and more, you need RAVE, if not already got.

They are very sensitive to tyre types and pressures. Also the slightest play in the draglink, track rod etc will cause problems:eek:

Under the new MOT regs it may fail with a missing centre silencer.

:D:DJust had mine MOT'D a couple of weeks ago under the new regs she hasn't had a centre box for the past three, no problems didn't even ask where it was, first time at this particular test centre, I suppose it just depends where you go for your MOT.

What does removing the centre box achieve exactly? Is it just increase in exhaust sound or are there other gains...mine needs replacing / removing.

I like drug-dealer tints on a P38.

You know that in Japan most or almost ALL Cars are sold like this and if there are not the dealer will propose to do it for you?

At first I though... MAFIA or DRUG-DEALERs and I hated it... Now I am can't live with it ;-).

The main reasons for people doing it or selling the car with this is SUN. It really decrease heat in summer since they are UV Cutter filters.

Even under the old regs it was a fail "If any part of the system is missing". But there are different ways to interpret that.

I have just ordered a set of tree sliders to replace the rusty side steps, tinted the windows a couple of weeks ago with a ceramic tint, very pleased with the look, but also the tints are good for privacy, they preserve the interior, (esp leather seats) and they dont smash in the same way, i.e stay in one piece due to the film on the glass.
I'm looking for an centre exhaust atm, where would yo get a straight tube from?
I'd like to go the stainless route but too expensive atm, even though mine is a single tailpipe version.

Mine is only a single exit tailpipe too. Well looking on ebay people are selling centre silencers for between £30 and £50. My local powerslow dealer will fit a piece of stainless pipe in place for £80. Can't really complain at that price tbh;)

Never had a problem with this powerflow in the however many years its been on the car....apart from last week the tail section dettached from the car at 50mph and bounced 8ft in the air behind me. Solid stuff though because apart from a few scrapes didn't bend, went straight back on after replacing the clamps.

The Rav4 behind though wasn't so lucky....whoops.
