Disco 1 looking for someone who knows hubs/swivels well.

Wheels have been balanced to rule them out as a cause?

With the front wheel jacked up, get someone to put the brakes on. Grip at 6 & 12 & try to rock. Any felt play will be in the swivel bearings.
Repeat at 3 & 9. Play will be in the steering ball joints.
Applying the brakes effectively grips the disc & takes wheel bearing play out.
Repeat 6 & 12 with brakes off. Increase in play will be the wheel bearing.
If all else fails follow the advice given in bold at the very end of this link:

or i can look for aftermarket when its lifted and leave the pain in the A$$ axle where it is lol

If you're going aftermarket anyway then look at the relocation kits, it moves the damper from the drag link to the steering bar meaning the damper is between the chassis rail and steering shaft.

Terrafirma does a full kit Land Rover Discovery 1 Steering Damper Relocation HD Kit TERRAFIRMA - TF527 - JGS 4x4 Land Rover Parts and you'll need one of these Land Rover Defender HD Steering Damper Heavy Duty TERRAFIRMA - TF832 - JGS 4x4 Land Rover Parts for about £105 you're all good, two bolts and a steering damper is a lot cheaper but hey ho, your dough.

quick update will follow up on this later, give it a miss yesterday due to weather but today got back out there pulling and pushing and hitting random parts as you do. got the misses to sit in driver seat and wobble steering wheel....

dont know if its all my issues but the bush on the driver side of the panhard rod came out in 2 parts. replaced the entire rod for now as i had one from another axle will report back later tonight if it stopped my wobbles or if im digging deeper.

incase anyone is wondering i had the misses wiggle the wheel no more than couple of inches back and forth could see the arm move and the rod stay still. sometimes you just gotta take the chance and let the misses get in the driver seat haha.

ok as i said its update after drive time. this is a win lose situation at the moment i no longer get shaking at 30-35mph it dont start until around 55mph now and the shake is a lot less than it was. one thing i seen while under there was one of the radius arms looked off center! should i go there next or do you guys recommend something else to look at now its moved to 55mph and got much lighter with the shaking.

Steering damper fixed the death wobble in my RRC, when i removed the old one it only worked in 1 direction. Theoretically if everything is in perfect condition then the damper does little, but every tiny bit of play adds up.
