What lid you got on the swb at the moment Lee? Or isn't there one?
Hi,
The Hard Top is for my SII SWB Landrover, in need of some TLC, am just getting all the bits that need to complete it while the weather is bad.
Have got most off the big bits, just need get Hard top, or Truck cab, series II wings and a decent front pannel.
Hoping to make a start in the spring.

Ive just put a calor gas heater in the garage and started clearing it today. Got to get my mates in one place to carry the chassis into the garage with me. I think the promise of free beer might work.

do you still need one i no its a trek but a m8s gt one sittin in his garden doin nuffin that he wud sell ya or swap for land rover parts wiv sunroof and windows

Hi. I've got a battered truck cab you can have for nowt - all the glass is in it.
I also have a really good S2 front panel - ideally I'd swap it for a 2A panel in same condition but open to offers

sorry if its a dumb question but im jus trying to think what the difference is between, the 2a front panel and the series 3 front panel, i say this as i thought the 2a front panel and 3 were the same except from the grill or is my head completly playing tricks on my memory

I might be a year or so out here, but I think S2 were made from 1959 - 61 then 2A from 61 - 71. In the last couple of years of 2A production the headlights were moved to the wings so the front panel is similar to the S3 (just the grill mountings were different)
The S2 and 2A front panels with lights in have different headlight surrounds - the 2 is flat (with chrome rims) and the 2A is raised (no chrome rims).
