Mums looking for a new motor not sure what she wants. Won't be getting a new car looking at 02ish anyone with a freelander local who wouldn't mind coming round and letting her have a look at it :-D better than her buying a jeep.

I am due to be in Bristol this week and would love to show your Mum how good the FL1 is, but unfortunately there is a niggling something that’s holding me back from helping you on this occasion.

Can’t quite put my finger on it but I am sure someone will point it out for me………….

haha oops I just noticed the title old habits eh?

freelander I meant freelander.

go for an 02 plate X-trail.. Betterer than a Freelander and more reliable.

Rather not neibour has one and it is always in thd garage having parts replaced and they are harder to work on.

Common Nissan X-Trail problems - What Car?

Looks like they have their own problems and they are pug ugly.

I cant deny that all cars have their problems, but mine has been ultra reliable (kiss of death) and has cost me £2200 in 6 years. A fraction of my Gaylander. Not the prettiest of motors either but it has always gone wherever I wanted, including leading at Salisbury Plain. It is certainly not difficult to work on - at least my petrol 2.0 is easy.

Very good read that. My mum is a typical woman, wants a free to drive car so that means if it breaks I fix it. She will take it offroad once or twice a year. But wants the size of a golf to drive with the height of a 4x4.

how about a 4wd golf then,
