mate... there's loads but loads and **** loads of threads about what to look for when buying a disco.

honestly did you even do a little search?

what disco you looking at? recent? older? how much money you have to spend?

200tdi
300tdi
2.0 Mpi
3.5 V8
3.9 V8
2.5 Td5
etc?
theres lots of models and years which one you after
also do a search

i tried a search and read a load of thread but came accross no definative info, lots and lots of fix guide and general info but no kind of buyers guide, could well be my search though

im looking for either a 200tdi or early 300tdi

Try Parker's guides, they're impartial and normally very good.

get a few to look at in your budget and we can prb look for you and come back with some useful advice but there are as many types of disco as there are reasons for buying them and they all have unique ish issues and warning signs..

generally though you want one with as little rust as possible.. a good looking specimen then is a good start.. you then want to open the rear doors and look at the arches.. they rust there a lot.. some surface rust is OK but anything major is a mot fail waiting to happen.. then you wanna look under the rear load area and see how rusty that is.. again some surface rust is ok but even that is a sign that it'll need some welderising soon enough..

then injuns.. what you after.. a noisy smelly oil burner or a thirsty V8 beast?
