Looking for a diesel Freelander

Hi all, I'm new here. I'm looking for a diesel Freelander. Had 3 V8 Range Rovers in the past and classic with a VM turbo diesel, and then last year a P38 diesel, The P38 dorve me nuts

fault after fault, so i gave up on it, Like the look of the Freelander TD4. What are the common faults, And what do i look out for when purchasing one

1)doors fall off
2)watch out for curling tong burn marks
3)make sure the 12v sockets work as hairdryers have a tendancy to burn them out

Still not put me off

My mate can weld the doors on and my hair is so short i wont need the curling tongs or the hair dryer. Glad they have no other faults, Best pop out and buy one

I do the school run every day

, but in my van on my way to Brighton, Dont want a Range Rover again and deffo not a P38 again + my wife will drive it

You want one you get one, there are issues wih them BUT there is with all motors tbh. I have one and it's been fine, just the luck of the draw I suppose

this has been done to death, do a search, stiffening vcus, rear props missing, knackered irds, leaking rear seals on tail gate window. No rust though.
