Looking at an FL2

Found a Td4 at a non frachise car lot, 07 XS Auto. Looks generally good, no scratches and bumps, interior tidy etc.

Two issues that worry me however. More oil than I like on the gearbox and the tray under the engine although the salesman thought it might be spillage from the oil filler (why would it need filling that much).

Other thing is its done 68k which seems a bit too high for even a working motor of that age.

Looking at em's ok, it's buying em that's risky

FL2 has a known issue of oil leak at the rear of the engine - usually fixed under warranty, can be seen as a wet patch at the rear of the engine tray.

What wrong with the mileage?
In the first year mines had an air con clutch and has spat a tiny amount of oil out (never did it again) after a very enthusiastic weekend at Eastnor Castle. Not bad in 32K.

If the price is right with that mileage, then why not.

Are you sure you want a FL2 though? Why not a used Disco 3?
