On my 51 TD4 just under the front slam panel in the engine compartment there is a cooler that looks like a long cylindrical wire brush ,I think its something to do with the fuel system can anyone confirm what it does please as i need to replace some of the rubber pipes going to it and i'm trying to find out what it is first so I don't look like to much of a div in the dealers. thanks

fuel cooler, cools the diesel returning from the injectors to the fuel tank.
