Long clutch, short legs. Help!

I thought I posted this earlier today but can't find it so if it comes up twice - sorry!

We recently bought a TD5 and although I can reach the clutch its not comfortable. I sort have to wriggle to push it right in. Surely I can't be the only 5ft woman who drives a TD5? Does anyone else have this problem? I have tried adjusting the seat and tried sitting on a cushion, but its not really helped.

What I need is a block on the pedal! Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

I take it you have checked that the drivers seat is at its lowest position?

You may be more able to use the clutch pedal if you adjust the seat base to tilt up at the back.
 
:)My Mrs is only 5 ft tall......i found a damn good solution to her problems with her short legs and the length of travel on the clutch pedal....................I went and bought an automatic.
 
When we bought our 1st Disco my missus didn't drive it for ages cos it was a left hand drive and big. When she finally had a go it turned out she could barely reach the clutch and was having to shuffle and stretch her hip and leg and basically said she couldn't drive it. Checked on t'internet and managed to buy a clutch pedal extender, 3 or 4 inches, from a disabled driver supplier but I can't remember who it was, you'll need to Google it. Still have it, it's on our second Disco now. I don't need it but just got used to it pretty quickly.
When out first one was having an emergency gearbox replacement, just a few days before we drove down to Spain to live, three Welsh guys were doing the job in a barn in the middle of nowhere and during the day I went to see em and find out how it was going. As we chatted, one of them, a little feller with jam jar bottom specs started looking at me funny and staring at me up and down. Then he said (best Welsh accent) 'ave you got one leg shorter than the other?' and was almost bent double looking at me feet! I had no idea what the feck he was on about at first cos the pedal extender had been on for months! Cost of extender was about 35 quid delivered and easy to fit.

Thanks that sounds just what I am looking for. Will see what I can find via google. Never realised I was disabled.

Regarding platform shoes - I can't find wellies with platform soles!

Feel Free Dave......Ive got it on my spare wheel cover on my Disco 1. Cost £35 for the vinyl transfer and i fitted it myself...Seeing that you are in Spain,you should get 1 and fly the flag for Newcastle
