Hello, I'm a new member but have been busy and happily 'fixing' things on my D3 for 2 years. I was going to park up my 'self-isolating' D3 for a few weeks, and disconnect the battery, for added security. (And also do some other mechanical jobs). But then I can't operate the central locking, and if I have the bonnet open, ditto. Any workarounds please? Much appreciated. Stay safe.

I believe there is a key hole behind the plastic handle cover where you would expect the key to go. Not sure if it's drivers or passenger side.

Hi

indeed can lock the disco , the passenger side has the plastic door lock removable cover, if u look underneath ur see a slot, use ur ign key to push into the slot and the cover will come off ,

rear door won’t open without ur battery connected

hope that helps

Many thanks gstuart. Yep I was aware of the hidden lock inside passenger side door handle tbh, though I was wondering if there was another cunning way. Cheers for mentioning rear doors locking.

If yer disconnect the battery then the alarm won't work. Is yer insurance ok with that? Yer could always buy a battery charger to top up the battery each week. ctek type.
