LOCKED OUT!!

I have 2006 L322 TD6 Vogue. The car has been parked up for a few months and the battery has gone flat. The lock in the drivers door does not work and I can't seem to find a keyhole at the trunk. I'm puzzled and don't know how I can get in to pop the bonnet and charge the battery. Is there a positive point somewhere that I can use to charge the battery, or is there aby way to get into the vehicle? Does the L322 have the constant positive on the side indicator?

If you can get to the bonnet release cable through the grill.....give it a good yank and the bonnet should open.....not sure if the release cable is hidden on the L322 but on my BMW thats what I have to do.

I have heard of connecting a live to the starter solenoid but difficult to get to, and then operating the remote to open the door, the live only needs to go onto the main live cable, you can earth anywhere on the body as you are not actually trying to get it to turn over. you can use a decent size electrical cable rather than a jump lead as it only needs to power the central locking but try not to connect and disconnect too quickly as you could fry the satnav.
in theory you should connect power, unlock and then wait for the satnav to shut down again before taking the power off again.

The other option i have read about is as you mention to pop out the indicator side repeater and shave the positive wire slightly and again connect a 12v supply to that while connecting the earth to the body somewhere and this should achieve the same result when unlocking with the fob.

Thank you both very much for your replies. I have attempted to find the bonnet release cable but no luck. It looks like I will have to try the side repeater option as that seems the safest.

UPDATE: The AA have just been. He tried getting power to the central locking. He did not use the indicator but in fact used the fog light. Everything powered on (sat nav, lights etc.) but the remote did open the door or boot. No luck so far. He then pryed open the corner of the drivers door and tried to operate the inner door handles using a rod. This did not work either due to the deadlocks. I'm now contemplating whether to break a window, force the bonnet open, retry the fog light/indicator method in my own time allowing more time for the battery to get power or try the starter solenoid method.

If you can power it up and you can get a rod to the central door unlock button it might open but possibly not as you point out because of the dead lock. From time to time mine won't unlock on the key fob so I turn the door lock to open and close and then it opens on the fob.
You may need more charge in the battery by leaving it connected for a while or try the starter if you an get to it. If you can get some 60 amp cooker type insulated cable and bend it to shape to try and touch on the starter main battery cable but get the positive on first and then get somebody to connect the earth and operate the fob

When powering it up did you try to open it with the key as apposed to the fob ? You probably did.... thought I would mention in case you haven't. ..... and is the fob battery ok ?

Fogs are not permanent live as far as I know, indicators are (for the hazard feature )....

Do remember that the lamps are switched via the LCM so be mindful of what you attempt.

That's a good point, I've read on another forum that the indicator repeater works, can't remember which

IIRC, indicators aren't true constant live. They operate via a relay. So unless that relay is active, you're probably outta luck there.

I had the same thing happen on mine, recovery chap (fellow landy owner so wasn't going to leave me in the lurch) jacked the front up a little, connected the live to the starter with a bit of wire from the jump leads and earthed it somewhere. She didn't unlock with the key immediately, had to wait a few minutes for the juice to flow.
