Locked out, super locked??? Help please

If the key hasn't been used it may also need new batteries when you get the door problem sorted and need resync

Thanks. The keys had new batteries in today and was sending a signal on open and close but is now only sending a signal on close. Maybe a faulty key too? I'll try my luck with landrover tomorrow.

Putting your location may help as a LZ member may be able to help for mandatory slice of cake and a cuppa

+1 and it's free! Got mine from Stratstone in Stourbridge a few weeks ago. Have you tried putting the key in the ignition? IIRC on your year to re-sync you put the key in and start, now whether that will still work if you have the eka message on I don't know. If the bonnet will open it may be worth checking to see what state your battery is in.

Cheers Mick, I will try them tomorrow, the battery was Ok yesterday as I drove it back from Solihull. Tried the key in ignition and it says press remote or imput code. Fingers crossed for a good outdome tomorrow. Not a great start to my p38 experience. Jase

You need a working FOB or the EKA code. A lock guy will not do it, it needs diagnostics. When you have it sorted, you need to fix or replace the lock mechanism.

Ive purchased sas's and it is installed with the motronic codes and now the edc codes too!
Trouble is I need to know what to do with it to help him out ad ive only done basic diagnostics on mine! If someone can give me some advice to help him out ill run over as hes not a million miles from me near j10 m6

Yes, you can re-sync with a Nanocom and check if the FOB code is being received. Never had to do it but the instructions are out there.

From what ive seen on a bbs video...
Go into utility, click on security learn then cycle the ignition and RR should start?

On another note, ive just had a weird phone call off a good mate who says his mate has recently purchased a p38 RR 2001 4.6 and cant get in? Guess who lol ^^^^^
ive heard hes in now, the bar/linkage had come off the handle!! Needs re-sync now..

Mark, very funny call! Im in and its running but need the plastic clip that holds the rod to the bar on the rear of the door handle. Its the bar thats linked to the lock. Been to JLS who were extremely helpfull and to west midlands landrover who were helpfull too but still no clip. I still need a new key though so looks like a trip back to landrover to pay them some money! Hopefully when I have a new key it should all work. Thanks Mark, ive been to equicar and they pretty much laughed at me, west midlands landrover were cool though, gotta keep intouch with them for a handle. I went to landy in stourbridge, they definaty want the log book and id but ive only got the green slip cause ive only just got the car. They gave me the EKA code but wont give me a key even though I had the origional with me? If I was gonna nick the car they gave me the EKA code to do so! Cant get my head round it tbf. Gonna go again tomorrow and order it anyway and hope the logbook comes soon. I have a few faults on the car Mark that I need a reader for so if your around I could do wit your help? I also need a wheel bearing changing on the nsf which Ive got if you know anyone who can do that? Its gotta be done here though unfortunately. I'll supply the hot tea and pay who ever for their time obviously?

Ill plug the nanocom in probs but wheel bearing is a pain in the arse and you need something like a 30t press for the job lol I just changed the hub on mine for a good used 1 lol did you get my No. In the pm?
isnt the LR in Bushbury closer for you? Thats where I got my key

Yeah im in pm, I think its the hub that Ive got, the guy said it was bolt off bolt on, goes onto the drive shaft, theres a bearing inside i presume casue it turns? Is the servicing place still open round by strikers? I know stratsone have only sell Jags now in Wolves?

That's the wrong stratstone, thats the jag place on cannock rd (I made same mistake as it comes up land rover on google) you need the other 1 (yes by strikers) bushbury lane wv10 9tt
