Hi I'm Graham, I've been reading lots of useful information on this site and decided to join up. I have a Freelander 1.8 petrol 2004 which I purchased a few months ago. Touch wood it's running well. Apart from the gears get stiff to engage when hot. But having read some of the blogs about this problem I thought I'd go with a gear box oil change to start with as it's close to the maintenance change. Anyway I purchased it as the family and I enjoy the out doors camping etc and I got a good deal on it. Full service history most are from a main dealer. Will look at some point in getting the VCU changed as reading some horror stories about that. However I've done the revers on full lock etc and it doesn't appear to revers like the brakes are binding so maybe it's all good. :screaming_bug_eye_f. Anyway I for one am not in any way mechanical minded so everyone's comments on here are greatly appreciated. It looks like a lot of people put a lot of effort it to explaining things with diagrams etc. Anyway apart from my landrover I love my guitar and annoying the neighbours lol I'm sure they appreciate a bit of blues playing as I've had no complaints just yet. Anyway that's me. Cheers all.
