Do range rovers go in to this i used the car today it stalled started it back up the heaters wont work, the dash lights have gone dim, heated windows dont work, the kick down on the box is stopped workin and is setting off slow anyone that can help

Sure they can go into limp mode, but anything serious enough to trigger it should be accompanied by a dash fault message to explain why. What your describing sounds more like a generic, multi-system problem, possibly an earth/short?

thats not limp mode, limp mode is initiated by the ecu considering its options, i doubt it would go turning the auxilaries off.

i would check the power lines!

i heard a clicking noise like a relay going mad to, but got in it this mornig and it was fine back to normal

Oh god its back i'm well fed up think i'm verging on a break down along with the car. can anyone help checked the earths seem ok, there are the abs and traction control lights are on, and they had been flashing up for weeks on the initail press of the break peddle which someone told me it was the abs acumilater could this have caused it to go into limp mode, plus when i press the break peddle for some reason the sterio goes osf and come back on again please help

sounds to me like electrical faults, possibly becm going down or mebbe power supply, what the battery and alt like, get em tested!

fuse boxes/ bad earths and corroded bcem plugs are things to look at also charging and battery condition

Take the cover off the engine bay fusebox for starters and have a good sniff for signs of burning, then remove the relays one at a time and inspect the sockets for signs of burning.
As others have said, check for bad connections, especially ground (Earth/Negative).
Get the alternator output voltage checked.

i had a rangey in the other day with the same faults as you, turned out to be the main power supply to the becm. the bolt which goes through the becm from inside out which carrys the main power feed with an insulator in the middle had come loose and burnt the insulator away causing a very loose and burnt power supply, defo worth a check.
