So today, I set off in the Defender at 05:30 to drive 110 miles.
All went well, even though it ****ed with rain the WHOLE journey
Anyway, was TWO miles from the site and the car wobbled and slowed down to 40mph, flat out!
Management light on!
So, to digress:
VW breaks down, average repair bill is approx 560 pounds GBP
Volvo breaks down, average repair bill is approx 785 pounds GBP
Jaguar breaks down, average repair bill is approx 2756 pounds GBP
Land Rover breaks down, five pounds 23p for a roll of Duct Tape
That's right. I am 103 miles form base, in limp home mode and needed a new inter cooler pipe (short one on passenger side) so to get me home, duct tape patches the small slit and gets me home in one piece.
So, moral of story?
Forget a tool box, flat screw driver and a roll of duct tape
