One last go before I just sell as scrap. My td5 keeps going into limp home mode seems to be power sensative fault , the more juice I use the quicker it defaults to limp home mode ie no lights or heater on 20 miles before , heater fan on full a couple of miles .battery replaced 90 amp cca720 from halfords 12 months ago , alternator charge 14v , new xyz switch fitted by garage and double checked , no oil at ecu .I have noticed when I pull away from standing start when gearbox goes from first to second the radio goes blank but light stays on and dosent need the code entered and headllghts flicker .I have checked most of the earths aswell.Been on auto logic diagnostic fault code says xyz switch and the say at 32 miles an hour now and again the switch temporarily looses power . Cheers for reading Steve

That battery's a bit on the light side - it should be 110 Ah, 800 CCA. But I doubt that's the main problem.

Yes I wanted to see if I could borrow a bigger battery to try , I get a lot of light flicker when the box changes up from first to second and some times it causes the sediment warning light to come on some one must know the connection between these el3ctrical glitches .
