lightweight flat hub removal

Hi, I am having a problem removing the drive flange from a lightweight axle fitted with the flat hubs (front axle) how are these supposed to come off? I can't see anything to get it off... I might have to start getting brutal! I read somthing about a circlip and special pliers, but I have no pictures of how or what is holding it on, the usual web searches find nothing useful - help!!

Any advice welcome...
