lights out

i have replaced all the lights on my series 3 and they were working for about a week and now they have stopped i suspect the switch is to blame so here is my question A are the light and heater switch the same B does anyone no which wires i can join together to check all else is ok oh yes the headlights work on flash off the indicator stalk thanks in advance

My trucks been in bits for a while but from what i can remember the heater switch is only off and on,the lights are three stages so no good. I assume you have checked fuse is ok so you will have power to light switch.With small bit of cable you can bypass switch to test lights.

i have the luxury 2 speed heater in mine just took dash out and back of switches look the same tryed swapping wires but still no lights anyone think of anything else that could make all the lights stop working headlights work when i flash so there is nothing wrong with the lights themselves

sorry to bring this one back into play but seems i have at last got some light at the end of this one 2 things seemed to be to blame one was a brand new tail brake light bought from rhymes with haddocks and had a wiring fault which had got so hot it had melted the bulb holder and some of the wire s second was the prize pr$ck that had at some stage wired in some form of towing lights using household connecters and anything else he had handy then cut the plug off and left the rest sitting on top me back axle but hey three days solid and i have everything working even a speedo many thanks to me mate al without whos help i d still be there now
